Working to Build a Better World
Healing, Teaching and Transforming – One Heart at a Time
Just as the sun rises in the east, many of the great wisdom traditions began in the East. Meditation and yoga are at the heart of these traditions originating in India, China, Tibet and Southeast Asia. These traditions, based on a holistic approach to mind and body, provide a foundation for lasting wellness and peace.

Gom, the Tibetan word for meditation, means, “becoming familiar with the nature of your own mind”. Through the process of becoming aware of our minds and how it works (thoughts, sensations and emotions), we learn to train the mind – and to transform our negative, habitual responses into a more positive approach that promotes well-being, compassion, joy and inner peace.
Yoga is a very beneficial moving meditation, its name meaning “union”. Composed of an ancient series of postures, or asanas, it is designed to bring the mind and body into harmony and to facilitate deeper states of meditation. Like other forms of meditation, its purpose is to assist in discovering the formless, spacious, true nature of the mind and to enable us to reach our highest potential of enlightenment.
Yoga and meditation help to improve sleep and develop greater concentration, overcoming stress, chronic pain and negative emotions. We offer programs in meditation and yoga that promote health and wellness on the spiritual, emotional, physical, and environmental levels, building the foundation for a more relaxed and peaceful approach to life.
